Culinary Intern
Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of hot and cold menu items in all Pebble Beach outlets, Banquets, and special parties.
Duties & Responsibilities
Follow recipe cards exactly to prepare pastries and baked goods.
Discuss daily events and production schedule with the respective outlets chefs or supervisor.
Rotate food in coolers, dry storage and personal mise en place, to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
Clean cooking surfaces and equipment.
Assist in plating up food items using the highest standards and guidance from the respective outlet chef.
Set-up mise en place for the next day.
Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Able to operate basic commercial kitchen tools and equipment
Knowledge of ingredients and preparation required
Understanding of commercial kitchen operations
Food safety certification required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be enrolled in an accredited culinary program
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 20 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
