Summary:
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager ensures the orderly and efficient administration of the Housekeeping Department, by assisting the Executive Housekeeper in the supervision of staff.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Maintain and enforce all quality standards, regulations, policies and procedures set forth by the Executive Housekeeper Recommend changes and improvements as neededManage administrative duties of the department in an efficient and fiscally responsible way, including scheduling, requisition of supplies and record keepingCommunicate policies and procedures to supervisors and staff.
Serve as a liaison to other departmentsServe as a role model for quality service and guest relationsTrain staff and provide on-going supportGather information and make recommendations to the Executive Housekeeper for products and services provided by various vendors and outside contractorsCoordinate and participate in steering committees for special functions and projects Keep proprietary and confidential information secureAttend and conduct all departmental meetingsMonitor staff performance, conduct evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other personnel functionsRecommend disciplinary measures, transfers, re-assignments, and promotionsConduct daily quality standards inspections in VIP rooms and all areas of the resortsSet priorities and delegate daily assignmentsCoordinate, assign and evaluate progress of special projectsMonitor consumption of supplies and equipment usage, using the standards of established quotas, safety and quality.
Organize, conduct and participate in all inventoriesMonitor performance of outside contractors and vendors.
