Job
Summary:
The Order Taker accurately and quickly take guest food orders over the telephone.
Answer questions about all hotel menus and their hours of operation.
Deliver guest orders as needed.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Sort door menus according to time of delivery for breakfast.
Answer the telephone and record guest information and the food and beverage items ordered.
Record all deliveries to the rooms of food, flowers and amenities on the pick-up sheet.
Answer questions about all hotel menus and their hours of operation.
Total and post all guest charges, including honor bar.
Order office supplies for the department.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Prepare amenity packages.
Suggest additional food and beverage items to compliment order.
Be familiar with hotel services in order to answer questions and provide assistance to guests.
Report any and all problems to management, to ensure guest satisfaction and the protection of company property.
Perform side work duties as assigned on daily side work form.
Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety, health and general policies and procedures.
Absolutely Required Skills:
Clear and polite manner of communicating.
Good math and organizational skills.
Ability to work a varied and flexible shift.
Food safety certification required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Desired Skills:
Food & beverage experience helpful.
